Valerie Grahn lives in Excelsior, MN with her husband, three children, and the family dogs. In addition to being an author, she enjoys a career in the medical device industry working as a freelance consultant. She is a new member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, enjoys gardening, traveling, skiing, and of course, reading.

Tracey Taylor Arvidson is originally from Chincoteague Island, Virginia. She earned her Bachelors of Fine Art pursuing the Communication Arts and Design track with a concentration in Illustration from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her illustrations regularly appear in children’s and young adult books, and her work has won numerous awards. Tracey lives on the Eastern Shore of Virginia with her family.

My three children were my biggest cheerleaders but also my most insightful critics! At the time of release, Lukas was 10, Maeven was 8, and Dennen was 6 - the perfect ages to test my picture book ideas. Lukas wondered how many books we'd need to sell to "make our money back", Maeven was over the moon that the story was about her, and Dennen was able to help me find "the best parts" of the story. Their enthusiasm and encouragement inspires me to keep writing! Lukas is an incredible freestyle skier, Maeven is graceful and skilled on horseback, and Dennen excels at soccer. When not at school, you will find them playing with friends, playing video games, enjoying our foster animals, and taking in every ounce of sunshine!
